The plan

If you want to change your life, change your ideas and your actions. Just by continuing to do the same as before, you’ll end up with the same results. For different kind of results, you’ll need a different life-plan. Clarify what you want to become, define clear goals, and build powerful strategies and habits to get you there. Start now!

Clarifying ideal stage

If you want to start your journey to become a balanced professional, start by clarifying what it means for you. It won’t be hard, as you already have the answers inside of you. Just let the muddled thoughts out into open (writing, drawing, discussing…), and process them further though reflection and intuition.

  • Pre-step: What I want to change?
  • Step 1: Explore your past – when have you already experienced this
  • Step 2: Explore the future – think about the ideal stage
  • Step 3: Find patterns – analyse your answers
  • Step 4: Build definition of your ‘ideal state’ – write short stories

Defining goals

I recommend focusing in your change process on limited number goals. By trying to achieve too many things at the same time, you end up making slow process due to limited time and focus. I would rather set a limited number of well-selected goals, and then building powerful strategies & habits to reach them.

  • Step 1: Evaluate the current stage – analyzing ‘ideal’ vs ‘reality’
  • Step 2: Select your focus – the motivating / scary outcome
  • Step 3: Breaking down your outcome – defining smart goals

Building Strategies & Habits

While building strategies to reach my goals, I prefer looking for solutions from many perspectives. My belief is, that to reach your goals effectively and sustainably, different perspectives have to be work in an integrated way in a successful solution. Changing your thoughts is not enough; you have to change your actions also. Doing things alone is not enough; you have to remember your connection to others.

  • Step 1: Explore your current situation – what resources do you already have
  • Step 2: Exploring ‘how to’ – building strategies & habits
  • Step 3: Action, revision and modifying – Implementing strategies and habits
